Our renewed identity, anchored in the slogan “Uniting Europe’s Energy, Today,” delivers a clear message: we are here to integrate with the EU’s secure, sustainable, and inclusive energy system—starting now.
Two decades ago, the Energy Community was established to promote the EU energy model. What began as a bold policy innovation has grown into a proven legal framework for accelerated integration—bringing together the European Union and its nine neighbours ahead of their successful accession.
We’ve helped our Contracting Parties align with the EU energy and climate acquis, strengthen regional ties, and implement reforms that matter—not just on paper, but in people’s lives. And while much has changed over the past twenty years, one thing remains the same: our belief that energy underpins Europe’s peace, sustainability, and competitiveness.
Today, that mission matters more than ever. We stand at the crossroads of a historic energy transition—accelerated by war, driven by climate imperatives, and shaped by new technologies. But we also stand united—as a Community that has shown, time and again, that our diversity strengthens us through integration and that together we thrive.
